Key Responsibilities:
- DWDM Equipment Management:Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of DWDM systems.
Monitor DWDM network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct regular testing and validation of DWDM circuits to maintain high availability. - Submarine Cable Systems: Oversee the operation and maintenance of submarine cable systems, including optical amplifiers.
Collaborate with vendors and partners for repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of submarine infrastructure.
Perform fault localization and resolution for submarine cable incidents. - Data Center Operations: Manage data center equipment, including servers, routers, and storage systems.
Monitor environmental controls (cooling, power, etc.) and ensure compliance with data center standards.
Implement and oversee best practices for data center operations, including disaster recovery and backup procedures. - Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of optical and data center networks.
Respond to network alerts and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
Prepare regular reports on network performance and suggest improvements. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Network Operations, Engineering, and IT to support business objectives.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repairs.
