Job Description
- Assemble electromechanical[1] products such as high-precision stages and motion systems according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards
- Utilize advanced hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, including microscopes and precision measuring instruments, to perform assembly tasks.
- Ensure all components are aligned and fit together correctly with micro-level precision.
- Ensure all assemblies are packed properly for delivery.
- Read, interpret, and execute complex technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Follow and refine detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the highest level of precision.
- Conduct comprehensive functional tests on completed assemblies to verify and validate proper operation under stringent conditions.
- Perform high-precision calibration and fine-tuning of components and assemblies to ensure optimal and reliable performance.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software for testing and calibration processes.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including ISO and other quality management systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Acquire and develop new skills essential to precision assembly.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in precision assembly and related fields.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and courses to continually enhance technical capabilities and apply new skills to improve assembly processes.
- Assist the Supervisor in achieving production targets and organizational objectives.
- Provide support to the supervisor with any additional ad-hoc tasks necessary for the company's progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical or vocational training required. An associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
- Extensive experience in precision assembly, with a minimum of 1-2 years in this role within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Proficiency in using advanced hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints with precision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of manual dexterity.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex assembly issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
