JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The CCTV Operator inspects all sewer line construction projects to ensure that the work conforms to applicable and current federal, state, and local regulations and statutes.
- The CCTV Operator also maintains and operates the mobile sewer TV Inspection system and conducts internal TV of existing and new sewer collection mains.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses repairs to system infrastructure using leak detection equipment and Closed Circuit Television equipment.
- Codes and stores all televised footage .
- Quality checks line cleaning activities to ensure proper cleaning of sewer infrastructures.
- Televise Pre-Cleaned lines to provide cleaning direction for line cleaning crews.
- Supervise a small crew in the absence of a supervisor in a manner that is consistent with established operating procedures and the supervisor’s goals and directions.
- Utilize current versions of computer software and hardware provided by PUB to create user friendly spreadsheets, databases, letters, reports, and other documents that are clear, accurate, and grammatically correct.
- Ensure that established safety procedures are carried out.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints with courtesy and professionalism.
- Explore creative and innovative ways of approaching assigned tasks and resolving dilemmas.
- Establish and monitor priorities, and move projects forward to achieve effective and timely results.
- Televising sewer mains and sewer laterals using various coding systems.
- Installation of manhole to manhole cured in place pipe (CIPP).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of the operation and care of department tools.
- Ability to use robotic closed circuit camera system and equipment.
- Review and understand project plans and system maps so that tasks are completed with detail and accuracy.
- Understanding and strict adherence to WSH safety policies and industry safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must hold a certificate of WRC Sewer Pipeline Assessment And Certification / SGSTT Sewer Pipeline Assessment Certification.
- Possess a Class 3 licence
- At least 2 years relevant working experience.
