Job Description:
- Ensure compliance of operations and works performed by workers according to WorkplaceSafety& Health regulations and statutory requirements.
- Scrutinize and sign permits & prepare risk assessment.
- Perform daily morning toolbox meeting before commencement work & plan for training /courses for workers etc.
- Update all safety records for workers & monthly inspection for Fire Extinguishers, Lifting gears,Machineries, etc.
- Liaise with Government Agencies, such as MOM, NEA & others for safety matters.
- Conduct safety audit, rectification of the safety violations and advise on safety work manners.
- Conduct daily safety induction and training.
- Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from worksite or work processes, thereafter,recommend and implement practicable measures and safe work procedures.
- Prepare safety talk and plan fire drills (both Pioneer Sector office and Tuas Yard), First Aids, Oilspill respond etc.
- Investigate and report all incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.On-site inspection during heavy lifting, gas free on-board vessels and attend to rig as and whenrequired.
- Source and liaise with authorised contractors to calibrate portable safety equipment.
- Conduct documentations check for contractors working in our yard and equipment.
- Conduct Safety induction for visitors, contractors, clients etc.
- Inculcate a safe working environment and promote positive safety culture (both Pioneer Sectoroffice and Tuas Yard).
- Acting Internal ISO Auditor for the organisation.
Job Specification:
- Degree holder with at least 5 years of working experience in Workplace Safety & Health inMarine Shipbuilding industry.
- Well versed in the local Workplace Safety & Health legislations and other regulatory compliancerequirement.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO), Fire Safety Manager (FSM) andcertified Confine Space Trainer.
- Possessed ISO Auditor Certification and qualifications.
- Holding the certificate of Confined Space Safety Assessor, Hot Work Safety Assessor and Workat Height Safety Assessor added advantage.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
