Purpose of the Job
- Troubleshooting of Rolling Stock Circle line trains to understand failure root causes and increase reliability of the current fleet
- Carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per schedule
Performance Measurement

Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting on trains during off-service time along with SMRT team that have reported faults or failures
- Collect the loggs and compare with nominal cases
- Manage the repair of failures as soon as they appear or identified potential solutions / ideas according to the identified root causes
- Challenge signalling loggs
- Installation of new software and verification of the updates / upgrade
- Writing of type test and reports
- Exchange with PU and relevant experts for the design definition / technical issues encountered…
- Analyze documentation from C830 (schematics, specifications…)
- Ensure validity and certification of relevant tools
- Populate relevant failure data base (FRACAS, Railsys Light, Weybull…)
- Guarantee information flow within the trouble shooting team
- Contribute to Reliability Growth and Return of Experience
- Provide support in special cases (FMI, Bulletins…)
- Respect EHS rules and any work related processes
- Trace with precision and rigour each failure.
- In case of unsolved deviations, escalate to the Project Engineering Manager
- Propose improvement of the process
- Work in a team spirit and transparency with its shift and the other shift.
- Ensure Interface and perfect working relationship with : Maintenance engineer, technician, RAMS engineer…
- Escalate any non-up-to-date testing tools.
- Should be aware of their KPI’s and performance on the respective KPI’s.
- Reports Deviations, Near-misses and Accidents.
