The Kaizen Operation Manager leads continuous improvement efforts across the organization using Kaizen principles. The primary focus of the role is to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. The Kaizen Operation Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Kaizen Implementation:
- Lead Kaizen Initiatives:Facilitate Kaizen events and improvement workshops across various departments.
Utilize Kaizen tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and Gemba walks to identify inefficiencies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate solutions and implement process improvements.
- Continuous Improvement Projects:Develop, execute, and monitor continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals.
Ensure that improvement projects are prioritized, aligned with strategic objectives, and completed on time.
Apply Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to drive waste reduction and process optimization.
- Sustainability of Kaizen Initiatives:Implement standard work processes and create documentation to sustain Kaizen improvements.
Ensure continuous monitoring and follow-up on the progress of implemented initiatives.
Train and mentor employees on Kaizen methodologies and empower them to lead improvement efforts in their respective areas.
Operational Efficiency & Performance Management:
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Develop and track operational KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure alignment of performance metrics with continuous improvement goals.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for further enhancement.
- Project Management:Oversee multiple Kaizen projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives.
Coordinate with department heads to align Kaizen activities with departmental and organizational goals.
Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation efforts.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Foster a Kaizen Culture:Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization by encouraging employee engagement and involvement.
Act as a change agent to inspire a mindset of innovation and improvement.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across teams and departments.
Requirements:
- Leadership and Mentoring:Lead, coach, and mentor teams to ensure they understand Kaizen principles and actively contribute to improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance on best practices in operational efficiency, waste elimination, and quality improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Experience with Balanced Scorecard methodology and strategic performance management is required.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, continuous improvement, project management, or performance management roles.
- Demonstrated success in leading and implementing Kaizen projects and managing Balanced Scorecards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret performance metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis software (e.g., MS Project, Power BI, Tableau).
