Partnerships Manager (Fintech /Payments)
The Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in identifying, negotiating, and securing partnerships with banks to integrate them into our payment gateway. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship management skills and a deep understanding of the fintech and payments industry. You will be responsible for ensuring that all partnerships align with regulatory requirements and overseeing the entire onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify, target, and secure strategic partnerships with banks to integrate them into our payment gateway.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations on partnership terms, including pricing, service levels, and compliance requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all partnerships are in alignment with local and international regulatory standards, including KYC/AML requirements, with a specific focus on US regulatory requirements.
- Experience with US Banks: Leverage your experience working with US banks to establish and maintain strong partnerships that align with US regulatory requirements.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within partner banks, acting as the main point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process, coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient integration of partner banks.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the fintech and payments industry, particularly in relation to bank partnerships.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on partnership progress, pipeline status, and any issues or opportunities to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Legal, Compliance, Product, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of partnership agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the fintech or payments industry.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing partnerships with financial institutions, including US banks
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in the fintech/payments space, with specific knowledge of US regulatory requirements.
- Candidates with experience on working with Central America Markets such as Mexico will be highly valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
