Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare age-appropriate teaching aids and implement the programs in class.
- Meet with parents to address any concerns or requests. Communicate with parents via TAIDII at least once a week, weekly updates, newsletters and Parent-Teacher conferences.
- Use positive guidance strategies and techniques at all times.
- Guide and supervise Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
- Render basic first aid as and when necessary.
- Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with teachers and parents.
- Supervise and mentor teachers in their delivery of the programme for their classes across different levels.
- Assist the Principal with added responsibilities such as vetting of the newsletters/progress reports/portfolios, organization of events and planning of excursions.
- Conduct in house training for teachers.
- Support the Principal with management of teachers, parents’ feedback and children's development.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T). Leadership in ECE.
- Creative and inspiring with a loving energy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be familiar with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals
- Leadership skills
- Candidates with NO Early Childhood certificates need not apply.
