AEON Insurance Brokers (M) Sdn. Bhd. was established on 18 May 1982 as Maya Putra Consultants (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and is licensed to undertake insurance broking business in Malaysia. AEON Insurance Brokers (M) Sdn. Bhd. was acquired by AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad at end of September 2021 after the Group obtained its approval to acquire insurance and takaful broking firm by leveraging on the AEON Group Retail Network and Ecosystem.
Job Description
- Develop and implement a risk-based annual audit plan aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Conduct independent and thorough assurance reviews of internal audit functions, risk management, anti-corruption measures, whistleblowing systems, and governance processes.
- Manage and execute audits and special investigations as requested by the MD, BOD, or Audit Committee.
- Ensure timely reporting of audit results, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor and address audit findings from both external and internal sources, ensuring appropriate remediation actions are taken.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance units to address supervisory issues and integrate audit findings with broader compliance requirements.
- Respond promptly to requests and inquiries from the BOD or Audit Committee.
- Evaluate and enhance the organization’s risk management practices to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit or a related field. A Master’s Degree or relevant professional certifications (eg.: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of managing complex audits and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and governance processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple audits and special investigations simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
