Responsibilities
- Assessing Vehicle Damage: Evaluating the extent of damage to a vehicle’s body panels, frames, and structures.
- Repairing or Replacing Panels: Fixing dents, scratches, and structural damage by repairing or replacing damaged panels (doors, roofs, bumpers, etc.).
- Welding and Shaping: Using tools to weld, cut, and reshape metal to restore the vehicle's original shape.
- Sanding and Smoothing: Preparing surfaces by sanding and smoothing them for painting.
- Fitting and Aligning Parts: Ensuring that repaired panels and parts are properly aligned and fitted.
- Painting: Sometimes applying primer and working with spray painters to repaint the repaired areas.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Oversee and coach employees
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
