The senior/ scientist will bridge research between laboratory development and industrial application.
He or she is expected to 1) develop and optimize metabolic pathways; 2) design and engineer strains towards application criteria such as preventing by-product formation/ avoiding the use of antibiotics; 3) bridge between enzyme engineering and fermentation teams; 4) liaise with industry players.
The senior/ scientist would be required to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including enzyme engineers, biomathematicians, and fermentation engineers for the development of complete biomanufacturing processes and translating into industrial production. The researcher is encouraged to publish in international peer-reviewed journals and file competitive patents.
