Purpose and Scope
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS, and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing our cloud environments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Design and Develop: Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud
infrastructure solutions using Azure.
· Deployment and Management: Deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services,
ensuring optimal performance and security.
· Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor cloud infrastructure health and performance, and
troubleshoot any issues related to cloud performance, capacity, networking, and storage
proactively
· Migration: Lead the migration of on-premise systems to cloud-based solutions ensuring they align
with business objectives and technical standards.
· Automation: Automate cloud deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and
reduce manual intervention.
· Cost Optimization: Implement cost-control strategies to optimize cloud spending.
· Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud systems are secure and comply with regulatory
requirements.
· Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for cloud processes, tools, and best
practices.
· Provide technical expertise in system/cloud architecture and design for both on-premises and
cloud-based environments.
· Ensure infrastructure operations meet established metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),
and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Operational Excellence and Best Practices:
· Develop and implement infrastructure best practices, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and
security.
· Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance operational excellence.
Collaboration and Support:
· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to deliver
integrated solutions.
· Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal
disruption to business operations.
· Provide training and guidance to team members and other stakeholders on cloud computing best
practices.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with proven experience in cloud infrastructure
management, with a strong focus on Azure in a corporate environment.
· Proficiency in cloud services, cloud security, and multi-cloud environments.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related
issues.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure
Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus.
· Preferably strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and server management operations.
· Skills Local on Premises - Microsoft Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Exchange Messaging,
Single Sign-On, LDAP/LDAPS, Multi-Factor Authentication, Enterprise Windows Servers.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate
technical information to non-technical users.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS, Huawei Cloud, Alibaba cloud will be a plus.
· Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar for infrastructure as code is a plus
· Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
