Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and QlikSense to present complex data in a user-friendly way.
- Develop and optimize data models for reporting, ensuring scalability, performance, and usability.
- Connect to various data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, Excel, cloud platforms, and flat files to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Power BI and QlikSense.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, identify key metrics, and translate them into visual reports.
- Fine-tune reports for performance, ensuring fast query times, efficient resource use, and seamless interactivity.
- Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) in Power BI for complex calculations and Qlik scripting for data transformation.
- Implement data quality and governance measures to ensure the integrity of data used in reports.
- Automate data refreshes and report scheduling in both Power BI and QlikSense.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI and/or QlikSense development.
- Strong proficiency with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI for developing reports, dashboards, and using Power Query and DAX for data manipulation and analysis.
- Expertise in developing dashboards and reports in QlikSense, including Qlik scripting for data transformation.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and integrating data from databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience working with a variety of data sources (databases, flat files, APIs, cloud, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques, including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalization for reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with ETL processes to load and transform data for reporting in both Power BI and QlikSense.
- Understanding of best practices for designing intuitive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
- Experience with Power BI embedded analytics and/or QlikSense Extensions.
- Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or Looker.
- Understanding of advanced analytics techniques and tools
