Summary:
The Senior System Assurance Engineer is responsible for the execution of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) Engineering activities in line with company processes, industry standards, and best practices. This role involves performing hazard identification, safety analysis, RAM analysis, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system assurance and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Execute RAMS Engineering activities according to industry standards and best practices.
- Ensure RAMS strategies are integrated and applied across project organizations.
- Perform hazard identification studies, safety analyses, and hazard management.
- Define and evaluate design compliance with safety requirements and principles.
- Review safety test strategies, plans, procedures, scenarios, and results.
- Oversee Installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and deployment method statements.
- Review and produce safety evidence and safety artifacts.
- Perform RAM analyses and manage RAM demonstrations.
- Coordinate project EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) activities.
- Act as the interface with customers, internal teams, and other parties (e.g., ISA) for system assurance coordination.
- Maintain KPIs for System Assurance activities, including quality, cost, and deadlines.
- Other tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of CENELEC (EN) Railway RAMS Standards.
- Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance assessments.
- Experience in RAM demonstration and EMC coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science & Engineering, or a related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in RAMS Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in Communications and Supervisory Control systems within the railway safety-related industry.
