Role
- Conduct risk assessments for network payment technologies, including payment gateways, processing systems, and transaction networks.
- Identify and analyze technology risks associated with payment processing, including transaction failures, system vulnerabilities, fraud, and third-party dependencies.
- Evaluate security risks such as unauthorized access, data breaches, and integrity issues across payment systems.
- Ensure risks related to network and transaction latency, downtime, and scalability are properly identified and addressed.
- Develop and implement a robust technology risk and control framework for network payment systems.
- Ensure that effective security controls are in place, including encryption, authentication, access controls, and monitoring of payment systems.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to establish controls for incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity specific to payment systems.
- Design control measures to mitigate risks associated with payment processes, such as anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance.
- Ensure payment systems comply with relevant regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001, and SWIFT guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulations affecting payment technologies, including data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, PCI-DSS) are preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, or payments technology, with a focus on network and payment systems.
- Strong knowledge of network payments infrastructure, including payment gateways, processors, point-of-sale systems, and online transaction networks.
- Experience in risk assessment, technology control implementation, and audit processes related to financial or payment systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including PCI-DSS, SWIFT, and other financial services compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing risk control measures for network payment systems.
- Deep understanding of payment technologies, including security protocols (encryption, tokenization), authentication methods, and fraud prevention mechanisms.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and design effective controls for payment technologies.
- Experience with risk management tools, security monitoring systems, and compliance audit tools.
- Ability to stay updated on emerging payment technology trends and risks, including blockchain and Web3 payments
