Job Description
- Timely follow up/coordinate/communicate shipment information with internal and external stakeholders (eg. shipping lines, shipping agents, freight forwarders, suppliers etc)
- Work and Monitor Permit Declaration activity with permit declaration vendor for all current and new products
- Ensure all dangerous goods/hazardous cargo documents are in place and procedures are met
- Engage and initiate discussion with country and regional procurement on rates and space including source for the best freight quotation in terms of service and costs
- Follow cargo/shipment irregularity handling procedures, communicate all cargo related incidents (short shipment, damages, misrouted, missed vessel) and insurance claims.
- Verify commercial/payment invoices and raise disputes for incorrect invoices
- Maintain accountability and accuracy for updating and meeting deadlines for weekly & monthly reports
- Prepare packing list warehouse on incoming good inspection
- Validate and tally overseas Purchase Orders
- To follow up with warehouse for all incoming goods receiving, packing list and discrepancies
- Prepare monthly report on shipment activities
- Assist Manager to manage freight forwarders’ performance and cost saving measurement
- Executive and coordination of improvement projects
- Backup for the other team members as needed
- Perform other assignments as required
Job Requirements
- Min. Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Shipping or related field.
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience in Shipping Logistics Operations.
- Excellent knowledge in different functional areas of shipping such as HS code, Import/Export procedure, Customs clearance, Incoterms, L/C etc.
- Excellant in communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Powerpoint, Words, etc.
- Result-oriented, organised, meticulous with problem solving skills.
- Ability to operate and prioritize in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Team player and is able to work well with employees at all levels
