Job description:
As a Junior Fashion Merchandiser, you will work within the Sales and Production team, managing the company’s sales planning and stock production each season.
Main Responsibilities:
Sales Planning
- Generate and analyse sales and stock numbers weekly.
- Analyse sell-through reports and implement promotions for slow-moving items.
- Allocate stock based on sell-through rates and market demands.
- Collaborate with Warehouse/Logistics to control inventory.
- Coordinate with Store Operations to gather feedback on stock and store openings.
- Manage inventory and promotional settings via Retail e-POS, including creating product loaders, purchase orders, and setting promotions.
Production
- Assist in creating line sheets each season.
- Coordinate the shipment of samples to and from factories.
- Assist with ordering materials for production.
- Communicate with factories regarding sample and stock production.
- Liaise with freight forwarders to arrange shipments for fabrics and stocks.
- Assist in organizing seasonal launch photoshoots.
Job requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sourcing, procurement, and merchandising, preferably within a fashion or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company.
- Highly organised: excellent prioritisation skills, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Communicative: excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Technologically savvy: proficient in leveraging computer software to effectively complete assigned tasks.
