Collection Lead (Japan Market)
- 7 months contract (parental cover)
- Work Schedule: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote // Standard Singapore business hours, Monday - Friday
The Opportunity
As the Collection Lead, you will manage a portfolio of customers, including the client's top partners across Ads, Cloud, or Hardware. You will excel in this role if you are solution-oriented and driven to implement efficient, customer-centric operational solutions. Your role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, the client's products, and the processes in place. You will apply commercial judgment and interpersonal skills to balance cash flow, cost, and customer satisfaction, knowing when to escalate issues to management.
- Build Client Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key customer contacts to ensure timely payments from the client's top clients. Oversee the client's outsourced partners in managing collections, handling escalations, and ensuring compliance with collection targets.
- Resolve Payment Issues: Address billing and payment challenges by working closely with Finance, Sales, and Product teams. You will understand both client needs and the client's product offerings, identifying and resolving issues that result in late payments.
- Support Process Improvements: Assist customers in adopting new processes and offerings to enhance billing and payment experiences. Provide valuable feedback from customers to the process and product management teams to drive continuous improvement.
Your Background
- Education: Degree or Diploma with relevant work experience, excellent email communication skills.
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in Account Management, Portfolio Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or other finance operations roles.
- Skills: Expertise in Customer Relationship Management, strong Excel skills.
- Experience in billing processes.
- Attributes: Ability to manage conflict and enforce policies when necessary. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on collections.
- Fluency in Japanese language is essential as the role will be supporting Japanese customers and stakeholders
