• Assess development concepts in alignment with Technology Roadmaps.
• Initiate, perform and support key developments of products, materials, processes, technology modules and methods within the framework of feasibility studies, business cases and/or projects, incl. experimental work and coordination of lab, pilot or production trials.
• Continuously ensure and drive the development of knowledge within specific sub technology field (width & depth) and efficiently share knowledge within relevant working groups and Scientist organization to ensure the necessary competence level defined by the technology strategy with 20% of their time.
• Monitor competitor developments and trends on operational level.
• Contribute to, provide consultation or initiate invention disclosures, maintain and develop a patent portfolio(together with Senior Scientists), contribute to and/or lead a Technology Field Expert Team by monitoring of competitors, blank spot analysis, FTO analysis.
• Develop and implement the Technology Roadmap and support the Technology Strategy while making investment recommendations for technology development.
• Actively build up and maintain internal and external networks, with the focus on technological aspects (e.g. suppliers, institutions, academia), initiate and maintain external cooperations.
• Supervision of students with main focus on theses.
