IT Marketing Tech Senior Executive

As the world continues to rely on technology to make connections and bridge the gap between us, it's more vital than ever to truly understand the tools and technologies. The Marketing Technology team is to advise on what is the changing landscape and how best the organisation can tap on these new solutions to improve the interconnectivity between our teams and solutions.

The role must understand the valuable potential of automation to streamline the functions of both sales and marketing teams. He/She should understand how systems could interconnect to integrate data between platforms. Work must cross all digital channels to improve business performance.


Responsibilities of Senior Executive, IT Marketing Tech is to support the Team Lead in Marketing Technology in the following:

  • Serving as super-user and product evangelist for a variety of digital too
  • Support in strategy development and implementation of marketing efforts to improve a business through the ability to design marketing and commerce cloud solutions
  • Change management, including implementation of new marketing technology rollout
  • Assist in overseeing training of marketing software and user adoption
  • Lead user acceptance testing while correcting any issues that arise
  • Support to oversee data security and product enhancement
  • Relationship management with internal technology users and vendors
  • Optimizing technology investments
  • Assist in marketing intelligence and providing actionable insight to clients or internal stakeholders
  • Overseeing operation and maintenance of marketing technology systems
  • Working closely with IT developers and internal stakeholders

The Senior Executive, IT Marketing Tech must work closely with cross-functional teams. Ability to work under pressure, facilitate communication that should be equally effective with IT, marketing, and sales. The role is a collaborator and a team player, helping to bridge gaps.


Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline. Advanced degree is a plus. Relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Professional certifications (PMP, CISA, ITIL, Agile, etc.) is an advantage.

Skills, Knowledge and Relevant Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, with 3 years of IT marketing/commerce experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in partnering with customers at mid to senior level.
  • Good track record of successful systems implementations at a regional level is an advantage
  • Experienced in design and implementation of marketing/commerce cloud solutions. E.g., Salesforce, Microsoft D365 Sales & Microsoft CRM etc.
  • Experienced in multi-vendor management in an outsourced environment.
  • Experience in the retail and manufacturing industries is an advantage.
  • Experienced in driving IT transformation and change management.
  • Interest in and understanding of technology innovation and the latest trends.
  • Is a ‘go-getter’ who rises to meet challenges
  • Able to bring clarity to complex & ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Inquisitive and not susceptible to ‘group think'.
  • Effective communication skills – ability to manage internal stakeholders of various levels, speaking in non-technical terms.
  • Positive work attitude and strong team player – focus on making things happen instead of why they cannot be done.
  • Able to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative.
  • Strong customer and service focus.
  • Must be a good listener.

The successful candidate must possess an entrepreneurial mindset; understanding that IT is a “business within a business” where we must earn the right to sell our services to our internal customers.
