Key Responsibilities:
Financial review
- Perform review of file opening requests to ensure documents are in accordance with policy prior to revenue recognition and billing.
- Liaise with other teams within the Firm to resolve queries relating to this process.
Billings
- Provide support to the core billing team.
- Attend to billing requests and liaise with other teams within the Firm to resolve billing related queries or generate supporting documentation when required.
Accounts Receivable
- Provide support to the core accounts receivable team.
- Follow up with clients (internal and external) on payment of unpaid bills.
- Attend to clients' queries and work closely with other teams within the Firm to resolve issues for prompt payment by clients.
- Prepare receipts estimates for cashflow forecasting purposes.
Client Account
- Support the Working Capital Controller including liaison with other teams within the Firm in the operations of client accounts.
- To be familiar with SRA and Singapore Law Society rules and maintain proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing clients' funds for internal and external audit purposes.
Regulatory and Statutory
- Support the Working Capital Controller during external and internal audit exercise.
- Provide clients' AR confirmation on timely basis.
- Prepare revenue breakdown for annual regulatory reporting
- Work closely with London Tax Team for withholding tax reporting.
Other
- Be proactive in looking out for process improvements.
- Work closely within the team, including providing coverage when necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qulifications:
- Minimum a diploma in accounting
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of working capital / billings and credit control experience.
- Experience in AR and law practices advantageous but not essential.
- Work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive, good time management and meticulous.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work with different groups/levels of people, both internally and externally.
- Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent phone manner and professional approach.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Able to think quickly and respond appropriately on the spot to clients.
