Automation Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Performs Automation maintenance, including Preventive maintenance and periodic review of system, system backup, disaster recovery, and obsolescence activities, and ensures automation systems remain in a validated state.
- Ensures timely resolution of identified automation issues and unplanned events identified in the daily walk-through.
- Updates the SOPs and SDLC documentation to ensure compliance to regulatory standards and ensures documents are generated and maintained to the required standards and appropriate frequency.
- Prepares and perform AIQ/AOQ, test plans, and documentation, ensuring documentation meets required regulatory standards.
- Perform automation change controls (recipes, process sequence, interlocks etc.) with guidance from Automation Lead (including impact assessments, executes field equipment modifications, performs pre- and post- execution reviews, test plans, update documents, coordinating with cross functional group) to ensure that changes are raised and closed on time following the required quality standards.
- Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.
- Supports a continuous improvement framework within Automation and works with Leads to identify and implement improvements.
- Participates in HAZOP reviews and completes action items as required.
- Support Site Capital Projects.
- Develops and updates Automation training packages, and conducts Automation training
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics & Electrical, Instrumentation, Information Technology or Chemical Engineering
- 0-6 years relevant technical experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
- Extensive knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Yokogawa DCS or Emerson DeltaV
- Good Communication skills and good team player
- Open to fresh graduates with relevant internship experience
- Customer focused resolution mindset
- Efficient and structured in problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently
- Work with different teams to meet common goals, provide end to end solutions and no functional boundaries
