About the Role
The right talent will assist and support Fleet Digitalization Senior Manager (SM) in business development and management of maintenance and upgrading services for shipboard IT, navigation and communication systems, and shipboard digitalization projects.
This role will support SM in business development, operation, and service management as follows:
· Handling client inquiries from quotation, operation to closing.
· Coordinate with vendor/client to ensure smooth completion of projects.
· Liaison with system vendors and clients to monitor shipboard digitalization and AI projects.
· Study and development of shipboard digitalization and AI projects endeavors.
· Visiting clients, vendors, and attend to ship on behalf of SM when necessary.
· Help to review specification and drawings on IT, Navigation, and Communication system and equipment for newbuilding and upgrading.
Responsibilities
1) Good procurement processes and services provide to clients are fully complied with company policy and guidelines.
· Entire procurement processes for client services are well managed and document.
· Follow through on customer PO for confirmed orders and ongoing services onboard ships.
· Services are completed with DN/work done report.
· Prompt invoicing and collection of each service and project.
2) Liaisons with client, vendor, and ship crews for all services onboard
· Following up on vessels schedules and delivery plan of product and services onboard.
· Monitoring and follow through of repair and upgrading services of equipment and system and attend to vessel when deemed necessary or instructed by SM.
Job Experience / Skills
· Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience with ship owner or ship manager, or the shipyards, or with makers, vendors or repair and service companies.
· Experience in relevant equipment repair, upgrading/retrofitting for shipboard IT, Navigation and Communication systems is vital.
· Experience and knowledge in digitalization and AI application is advantageous.
Other Qualifications / Soft Skills
· A team player with good communications skills.
· Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
· Degree/Diploma in IT, Marine or Electronics.
· Relevant sailing experience as 2nd officer, preferred
