Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. This role ensures that the warehouse functions efficiently and effectively in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
- Assist in unloading incoming shipments and verify items against delivery orders.
- Check and inspect goods for damage, quantity, and accuracy.
- Report discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor.
Storage and Inventory Management:
- Organize and store products in the designated locations to maintain an orderly warehouse.
- Perform regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Update inventory management systems accurately and promptly.
Picking and Packing:
- Pick items according to orders and pack them securely for dispatch.
- Ensure correct labeling and documentation for outgoing goods.
- Assist in preparing goods for shipment, including wrapping, strapping, and palletizing.
Loading and Unloading of Goods / Dispatch and Delivery:
- Assist in loading goods onto delivery vehicles.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.
- Coordinate with logistics and delivery teams for efficient order fulfilment.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse at all times.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in identifying and reporting potential safety hazards.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys safely and efficiently would be an advantage.
- Report any equipment mal functions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Other Duties:
- Support other warehouse tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Any other duties assigned by your reporting officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in English and is able to do data entry using Microsoft Excel and sending email on Outlook.
- Minimum ITE, GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Possess Class 3 driving license.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual work, including lifting and moving goods.
- Meticulous, able to communicate well and work in a team.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is an advantage
Working Hours
Mon – Thurs : 8am – 6pm Fri : 8am – 5pm.
Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident ONLY
