As a Senior Specialist in Product Planning for this luxury automotive brand, you will play a pivotal role in future product development, technical advancements, market research, and product training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning the introduction of current and future models into regional markets.
- Ensuring each model meets specific market regulations regarding safety, emissions, fuel consumption, and more.
- Conducting market studies to understand customer profiles, competitors, and market expectations.
- Analyzing market data to align product and sales strategies with regional needs.
- Collaborating closely with distributors to select the right models for their markets and building consensus on specifications, volume, competition, and launch timelines.
- Providing monthly reports and updates on sales performance and market trends.
- Coordinating with HQ to secure pre-production models and managing communication with agencies to ensure accurate product asset development.
- Securing annual budgets, preparing project proposals, and overseeing asset requirements.
- Managing the purchasing and distribution of CAD data, coordinating its usage across vendors for CGI development.
- Supporting product launches by working with various internal divisions, including Accessories and Aftersales.
- Assisting the communications team with product-related information for launch campaigns.
- Planning and conducting product training sessions for regional distributors and internal teams.
- Providing ad-hoc support to other functions as needed.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the automotive industry or a marketing agency.
- Fresh graduates with an engineering background (preferably Mechanical Engineering) are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills in English (Japanese proficiency is a bonus).
- Passion for automotive products and familiarity with technical terminology.
- A team player with project management skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders (headquarters, distributors, and vendors). Project management experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product-related information.
- Comfortable working with numbers and analyzing data for management reporting.
- Proactive and resourceful in gathering information from various sources.
- Able to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A driver’s license is an advantage.
- Hybrid work arrangements with occasional travel required.
