ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a driven and strategic Finance & Business Controller to lead financial operations and drive business performance across multiple entities. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, focusing on optimizing P&L, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. This role requires a mix of financial expertise, leadership, and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s financial planning and analysis function, driving both long-term and short-term financial goals in alignment with business strategy. Focus on optimizing P&L performance, protecting revenue, gross margin, and EBITA, while ensuring financial sustainability.
- Act as a key advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations that support informed business decisions.
- Oversee full sets of accounts, including AR, AP, GL, and financial reporting, ensuring all financial processes are efficient and aligned with company objectives.
- Leverage financial models, business metrics, and performance analysis to provide actionable insights, supporting the company’s growth and operational improvement.
- Champion process improvements, financial controls, and systems enhancements across the finance function. Ensure the finance team is using best practices to optimize productivity and performance.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, cultivating a high-performance culture. Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management, while maintaining full compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Work closely with business units and departments across the organization to align financial objectives with business needs and drive cross-functional initiatives that improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, banks, tax authorities, consultants, and external partners. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, while ensuring the company remains compliant with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; or professional certifications (CPA, CMA, etc.) would be an advantage.
- 7+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity, ideally with exposure to multi-entity or regional operations.
- Proven ability to provide strategic financial insights that drive business decisions. Ability to connect financial analysis with business performance.
- Experience leading teams and driving high performance. Strong mentoring and people management skills are essential.
- Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Strong ability to interpret complex data and communicate it effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Experience implementing and optimizing financial systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong desire to make a measurable impact on the organization.
