Our client is an up and coming oil and gas trading house, trading across the oil barrel. As part of their expansion plan, they are now keen to hire and expand their risk management department. If you have strong risk background and have worked in an oil and gas setup before, this role could be interesting!
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret market data to identify potential risks and market trends.
- Design and implement models to assess market risk impacts on portfolio performance.
- Execute stress testing to evaluate risk exposure under various market scenarios.
- Continuously monitor and adjust portfolio positions to manage risk efficiently.
- Prepare detailed reports highlighting key market risks and exposures.
- Stay updated on evolving risk management practices and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the development of risk management policies and train junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure risk factors are incorporated into strategic decisions.
- Participate in risk committee meetings, offering insights and analysis as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive records of trades and risk management activities.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support ongoing business needs.
