Reporting to the Centre Manager, the incumbent for the Part-Time Teacher position is mainly homework supervision and managing a class of maximum 20 primary school kids together with an assistant teacher at BCARE Joy Connection (JOYC).
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise primary school children in their daily school homework, help them learn and prepare them for their spelling test in school.
Ensure that all daily school homework assigned by the school is completed before the children leave the centre for the day.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and discipline in the classroom.
Ensure the children complete all their assessment pages assigned by the centre tutors within the week for all subjects.
Decorate wall displays that depict the relevant theme, subject, or event.
Update and maintain the Star Award system.
Guide and keep students constructively engaged in activities that are developmentally and educationally appropriate through positive management Strategies.
Attend staff meetings and staff-sharing sessions.
Do home visitation when necessary.
Nurture and provide care for the child’s personal needs such as child-bathing, medication, meals etc.
Communicate and work closely with parents or the Centre Manager for the development and growth of the child.
