What the day will look like

  • Establishing the value to be delivered and drive execution of ESG and climate strategy across Asia Pacific;
  • Providing guidance in the delivery of Aon United 3 x3 plan through leveraging ESG and climate solutions operating as one firm and integrating solutions (leveraging across Human and Risk capital) to deliver on client demands;
  • Developing and enabling client retention and new business by building trusted relationships with clients and prospects, external networking, referrals, pre-emptive marketing, RFP’s and direct outreach;
  • Providing high value, independent subject matter expertise to respond to client’s need for guidance in climate disclosures and ESG acting as a trusted advisor to clients;
  • Delivery of Climate Solutions consulting engagements including as an individual consultant as well as establishing and managing team-based approaches using colleagues from across the APAC region;
  • Leading and facilitating client meetings and discussions with senior executives and leadership teams;
  • Gaining greater market reach through providing subject matter expertise on climate and ESG product innovation and development within Aon to support achievement of client outcomes;
  • Broadening and deepening client relationships through collaboration with account executives, specialty broking colleagues, Enterprise Client Group leadership and Multinational Client Group to identify and deliver growth and enhanced client servicing and planning;
  • Enhancing Aon’s reputation in climate and ESG solutions to drive further business growth through participating in industry conferences and sharing thought leadership.

How this opportunity is different

Climate and ESG solutions are strategically critical growth areas for the APAC region with clients increasingly demanding solutions to meet investor and regulatory requirements.

This is a highly visible position, and you will be leading and driving execution of ESG and climate opportunities in Asia Pacific (excluding Australia), and as such, will become well known to the leadership and client-facing communities.


Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong business relationship and communication skills, able to engage with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders (insurers, law firms, regulators) to promote and grow this area of the business;
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of climate and ESG solutions offered;
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with colleagues to implement effective solutions to meet client needs;
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic, demand-based environment, requiring flexibility and responsiveness to client needs;
  • Exceptional work ethic with a high level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong cultural acumen aligning with the APAC region and the ability to communicate in local languages is an advantage;
  • Comfortable with intermittent periods of travel; evening and weekend hours;
  • Proven record of business development in climate and ESG solutions.
