Responsibilities:
The Solution Architect is responsible for creating the most appropriate architecture for a software development project, and maintaining control over the architecture throughout the entire project lifecycle. Define design and programming guidelines, and establish the design of the system, taking into considerations integration of various components, identification and mitigation of known technical risk, architectural principles, technology standards and best practices. The activities also include support in pre-sale activities as solution architect and consultant, and to propose and review technical solutions, and propose resources (including manpower) needed to meet the requirements of client and ensure successful delivery.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of software products and partners to put together a complete solution that meets the end client requirements.
- Advocate of Cloud Native Technology & DevSecOps.
- Design and lead the implementation of application architecture (including cloud native applications) and design of solutions across a group of business applications and technologies based on project (including, but not limited to POC and POV projects)/RFP requirements.
- Understand IaaS/PaaS concept and able to do IaaS/PaaS Architecture.
- Prepare proposal document detailing the overall solution and architecture and estimate resources needed to fulfil the project delivery.
- Engage customers to explain the rationale of architecture’s selection, or other technical issues.
- Lead architecture team to develop the common application framework, or repeatable functions for reusability.
- Look out for latest technologies and match up with use case and solve business problems efficiently.
- Work with other architects, leads, team members in an agile scrum environment.
- Provide consultancy services to the project team on technical problems faced
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience in preparing IT solution proposals, and proven experience in designing highly secured and scalable applications.
- Strong understanding of cloud application patterns & designs desired.
- Experience in running public cloud application in Azure, Google Cloud Platform or AWS desired.
- Possess experience in VMware CI/CD, DevSecOps, setting up and managing Build and release pipelines.
- Practical experience in any of the following areas: coding skills Node.JS, PHP or C#, DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins or others preferred.
- Good verbal, written communication and presentation skills with ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders from developers to senior executives.
- Previous experience as Development Lead and/or implementation in at least two IT solution development disciplines.
- Good understanding of strategic and new emerging technology trends, and the practical application of these technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
