We are a boutique CPE registered school offering classes to both mainstream children and children with developmental or academic challenges.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Teacher (PE and ICT). The ideal candidate will be committed to inclusive education and will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every student, regardless of ability, can succeed in a classroom and physical education setting.
What You'll Do:
- PE Lessons: Conduct engaging physical education sessions that cater to students' varying physical and developmental abilities.
- ICT Instruction: Teach basic ICT skills and integrate technology into the classroom, making learning interactive and accessible.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one instructional sessions for students with learning difficulties.
- Modify curriculum content, teaching strategies, and PE / ICT activities to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities.
- Regularly assess students' progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive records of student performance, including IEP documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Work closely with support staff and other specialists to ensure a coordinated and well-rounded educational experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a special education setting, preferably in a school environment.
- Experience in teaching PE / ICT education in a school setting, with a focus on inclusive education.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with students with varying abilities.
- At least 3 years of experience working with children with learning difficulties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques and the use of appropriate intervention strategies.
- Able to start short notice or for the academic year 2025
