Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Developer to join our team. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software application in WRB Wealth Journey Hive. Your primary focus will be on developing high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solution that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Strategy

  • Collaborate, motivate, and coach development team towards successful delivery, by providing technical leadership and expertise for design, implementation, and quality release.

Business

Assess the technical impact and effort required for a given business epic / feature. Identify systems’ dependencies and execute a plan to resolve all dependencies.

Processes

  • Iterative development process, technology refresh, release and risk management.

People & Talent

  • Promote innovative thinking and self-organize squad. Manage expectations, provide timely feedback on performance and areas of improvement.

Risk Management

  • Ensure system is compliant with security framework

Key Responsibilities

Governance

  • Ensure all deliverables meet the quality standards as defined in the bank’s Software Development Framework (SDF Agile)

Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

• Global Wealth Management Product Owners, for business priority and initiatives.
• Business & Technology Managers, for solution design and delivery.
• Segment Business Heads, for articulate and drive adoption of change.
• Scrum Master / Agile Coach, for continuous improvement of Agile best practices.


Skills and Experience

Developing and delivering real time solutions for Private Bank and Wealth Management.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to establish frameworks for delivery of online capability to clients via web or through relationship management tools.
• Collaborate with technology teams to co-ordinate development and create a delivery pipeline across multiple streams.
• Support to remove technical impediments.
• Support the squad on task refinement and estimation, identify technical dependencies with other squads and prioritize technical task in the backlog.
• Drive adoption and rollout of Agile and modern software engineering and integration best practices.
• Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of Agile Development practices, coaches and teaches new techniques to the squad to achieve optimum productivity and software development efficiency.


Our Ideal Candidate

  • 6+ years of experience in Wealth Suite Implementation for Private / Wealth business domain.
  • Software skills: Requires at least one or more below skillsets
    • Triple 'A Core,
    • TCIB / UXP
    • Actuate
    • WTX
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Core Banking implementation for large scale volume and integration to multiple surround systems / external Third-Party Systems.
  • A strong portfolio which showcases a range of tools and techniques, and case studies which demonstrates considerable ROI for a range of clients.
  • Expert knowledge of TAP Core. Also knowing the related design principles and techniques, especially in designing large-scale system designs & development on multiple platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in
    • Dev Ops tools like Ansible, ADO, GIT, Jenkins etc.
    • Unix and Solace development
  • Problem solving mindset, strong team spirit and complete commitment to work quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, as you will be involved in persuading and presenting to different levels of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Triple A scripting language. Have experience in creating Formats & Screens
  • Worked on customization of BTF and FTB screens.
  • Worked on creating MAPs and import files.
  • Worked on financial functions like Valuation, Operation History, Transaction History, Return Analysis, Performance Analysis, Order Entry etc.
  • Knowledge of TSL is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Triple’A Plus and WTX certification will be added advantage

Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Experience in customization of Temenos “Wealth Suite” product like Triple ‘A Plus & WTX in the following areas:
  • Work experience in creating/customizing formats, screens, profiles etc.
  • Proficient in Triple A scripting language.
  • Worked on customization of BTF and FTB screens.
  • Worked on creating WTX MAPs and import files.
  • Worked on financial functions like Valuation, Operation History, Transaction History, Return Analysis, Performance Analysis, Order Entry etc.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database, PostgreSQL, Oracle
  • Application testability and unit testing, performance testing.
