Role Description
This position reports to the Financial Controller and interfaces with internal (Trading, Operations, Treasury, Business & Risk Control) and external (financial institutions, auditors) stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities
Individual to be involved in:
- Direct and manage all accounting and finance activities including cost / credit / internal control, budgeting, fixed asset register, accounting, auditing and financial / management / statutory reporting for Singapore group of companies
- Manage group of companies’ management accounts as well as reports for funding purposes
- Design and implement Accounting Management Policy for group of companies
- Work closely with HQ on drafting and implementation of policies – particularly bridge the gaps between HQ policies and Singapore policies
- Ensure the proper implementation of HQ’s Finance Policy Initiatives
- Review and submit Amer Singapore Consolidation Report
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of various financial / management / statutory reports for the group of companies as well as tax compliance reports
- Analyze company’s financial condition / practices and advise Management on financial matters and on the potential impact of current / future regulations and laws on the operation of the group of companies
- Lead, manage, train and develop finance staff to ensure company’s accounting activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently in accordance to the relevant regulations / laws / standards
- Work with Risk Management Head on internal controls, due diligence, documentation controls, budge, systems improvement policies
- Ensure all payments and receipts are accurate, in accordance to the policy and supported by sufficient documentation
- Work closely with Treasury Department on cash flow projection as well as funds requirements
- Support business unit’s General Managers’ strategy initiatives – from financial management perspective
- Review and recommend tax planning for group of companies
- Plan, co-ordinate and discuss on external audits for group of companies
Competencies
- Accounting degree or professional qualification
- ACCA/CA qualifications has advantage
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experiences with 3 years in managerial role
- Experience in managing group accounting and / or regional accounting
- Familiar with Singapore statutory and international’s compliance requirements
- Good presentation skills
- Microsoft Office skills
