JOB DESCRIPTION
• Core curriculum delivery – i.e. primary language of instruction,
mathematics, science, social studies and meeting learning outcomes in all of them
• Collaborative writing of unit planners, before the unit, during the unit and after the unit
• Submission of unit planners at the end of every unit and placing them along with student work samples in the teacher folder.
• Ensure weekly collaborative planning meetings with all other teachers teaching the same class, are conducted.
• Pastoral care and PSPE learning outcomes delivery during homeroom periods.
• Meeting of Drama [theatre arts] learning outcomes.
• Ensuring UOI letters are sent to parents.
• Formative and summative assessment reports are shared periodically with parents.
• Completion of two detailed semester reports a year.
• Preparation for unit assemblies and one unit exhibition per year.
• Ensuring that contributions are made to the UOI newsletters.
GENERAL:
• Ensuring that assessment outcomes are used to plan lessons.
• Vertical and horizontal curriculum planning is conducted.
• Responsible for one extra duty per day.
• Responsible for one school event coordination per year.
• Responsible for one CCA per week.
• Conduct one Parent Teacher Conference per semester.
• Conduct one Student Led Conference per year.
