Company Overview:
Lion Great Energy Pte Ltd is a dynamic petroleum and diesel oil trader, ship owner, and ship management company based in Singapore, with operations in Thailand. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team and manage the company's financial transactions, including those related to shipping and logistics.
Job Description:
- Handle daily accounting tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Handle and manage shipping and logistics transactions related to vessel operations and fuel trading.
- Liaise with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate financial documentation for shipping activities.
- Assist in audits and compliance checks.
- Support the Finance Manager in other ad hoc accounting tasks.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (XERO) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and shipping documentation is a plus.
