Acceleration Manager – Corporate Innovation & Cross-Border Programs

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Corporate Innovation Management: Lead corporate innovation initiatives, helping large organizations and startups drive innovation projects. Support internal innovation processes, identify growth opportunities, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration between corporate teams and external partners.
  • Cross-Border Acceleration Program Management: Manage cross-border acceleration programs that involve global startups and corporate ventures. Ensure smooth execution of programs from ideation to scaling across international markets, with a focus on business growth, cultural adaptation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Program Leadership & Execution: Oversee all aspects of program leadership, including innovation ideation, validation, incubation, and market entry. Ensure measurable results by implementing strategies that foster business growth, impact generation, and ecosystem development.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with program directors, innovation teams, and external partners to design and execute corporate innovation and acceleration programs. Lead workshops, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and manage program logistics in both domestic and international contexts.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Act as a coach and mentor for startup teams, providing guidance, resources, and network access to foster growth and success. Lead entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR) sessions, offering strategic input on market adaptation, business development, and global scaling.
  • Strategic Program Development: Spearhead the development and refinement of internal playbooks, best practices, and innovation methodologies tailored for cross-border and corporate innovation programs.
  • Consulting & Ecosystem Building: Conduct in-depth assessments, market research, and due diligence to support corporate clients and startups in launching cross-border ventures. Build and maintain relationships with global innovation partners and ecosystem stakeholders to support long-term collaboration.
  • Business Development & Proposal Management: Play an integral role in drafting proposals and shaping business development strategies for corporate innovation and cross-border acceleration projects. Partner with the marketing team to execute program-related outreach and promotional activities.
  • Budget & Project Management: Oversee budgets, allocate resources, and manage project timelines to ensure successful delivery of both corporate and startup innovation programs. Provide regular reports on progress and key milestones.
  • External Engagement: Represent the organization as a subject matter expert in innovation and cross-border acceleration. Attend and speak at industry events, participate in international panels, and build networks within the global innovation community.

JOB HOLDER’S COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Innovation, Economics, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in startup incubation, corporate innovation, consulting, or cross-border program management. Demonstrated success in leading complex programs that span multiple markets, industries, and regulatory environments.
  • Skills: Strong bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English, both oral and written. Exceptional facilitation, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in multinational, multicultural environments.
  • Corporate Innovation Expertise: Strong understanding of corporate innovation processes, strategies, and methodologies, with experience in driving innovation initiatives within large organizations.
  • Cross-Border Program Expertise: Deep knowledge of cross-border acceleration, international business scaling, and cultural adaptability. Experience working across different geographies, particularly in Asia and global markets.
  • Entrepreneurial & Global Mindset: Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented, with an ability to lead teams across borders and deliver high-impact programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven experience in coaching and mentoring startup teams, helping them navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and scale across international markets.
  • Innovation Ecosystem Engagement: Well-versed in open innovation and ecosystem building, with an ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders in the innovation community.
