RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer student financing (eg scholarships, awards, bursaries, grants, loans and sponsorships) including system set-up and maintenance of student financing schemes, maintenance of recipient records, disbursements and refunds, etc.
  • Liaise and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on the disbursement of student financing.
  • Liaise and collaborate closely with external organisations on student matters.
  • Prepare billing templates for issuance of invoices and assist to follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare payment request templates for fund disbursement to students.
  • Address queries on student financing promptly.
  • Prepare accounting entries for month-end closing;
  • Audit schedules and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights for management decision making.
  • Prepare reports and present findings for internal and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in system enhancement projects and other process improvement initiatives, including system design and performing UAT.
  • Any other task relating to student financing administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Business, or a related discipline with minimum 2 years of work experience.
  • Recent graduates with relevant competencies may be considered.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software and databases.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in any of the major accounting software (eg SAP, Peoplesoft Student Financials, etc.) will be advantageous.
  • Experience with system change implementations will be advantageous.
  • A proactive team player with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise and good at time management.
  • Fast worker who is hardworking, meticulous and possesses initiative.
  • Systematic and organised, ability to handle very high volume of data and paperwork.
  • Result and service-oriented individual who is disciplined in monitoring and following up on outstanding matters.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
