Responsibilities of a candidate
Installation: Install new air conditioning units, including split systems, central air systems, and ductless mini-splits, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and replacing parts as needed to ensure optimal performance.
Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant problems, and perform necessary repairs.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues and solutions clearly to customers, answering their questions, and offering recommendations for system improvements.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following best practices for handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
Documentation: Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Inventory Management: Manage and track inventory of tools and materials required for installations and repairs.
Qualifications of the candidate
Degree: Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or in a related field
Experience: 2-3 years of experience working in relevant field
Certification: Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification for refrigerant handling) and licenses as required by local regulations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on troubleshooting and finding effective solutions.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
