Responsibilities
- Manage a technical reinsurance accounting and claims portfolio efficiently and effectively.
- Process and verify quarterly statements of accounts, including completing accounts, reserves, and various calculations such as Sliding, Profit commissions, and cash calls.
- Follow up with cedants and brokers on outstanding statements of accounts, premium adjustments, and bulk reserves.
- Monitor and address unreleased cash calls, ensuring prompt communication with cedants and brokers.
- Assist team members in meeting monthly close-off deadlines and ensure accurate and timely data entry with integrity.
- Maintain thorough documentation of internal processes, ensure compliance with guidelines, and support internal and external audits and inspections.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Technical Accounting experience in non-life treaty reinsurance sectors
- Proficiency in Ms Excel and Word
- Knowledge in handling claims will be an added advantage
- Minimally a Diploma in Accounting or the equivalent
- Familiarity with SICS is advantageous
