Senior IT/Desktop Support Engineer
Our client is looking for an experienced support engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users and maintain the smooth operations of the desktop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware, software and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop systems including hardware failures, software malfunctions and connectivity problems.
- Install, configure and upgrade desktop systems and software applications.
- Assist end-users with technical issues by providing clear and effective instructions.
- Conduct training sessions for users on desktop applications and best practices.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including system updates, patches and security enhancements.
- Create and maintain documentations for desktop procedures, troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
- Communicate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Ideally at least 3 years of relevant experience in IT/desktop support roles – preferably in the banking or financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and common business applications.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems would be an added advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
