Our client is a global leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and microgrid solutions. They are expanding rapidly and seeking for Field Service Engineer to join the team.
The role of the Field Service Engineer is to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electric vehicle (EV) chargers at various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Perform on-site installation of EV chargers, ensuring all hardware and software components are properly set up and integrated.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks, inspections and servicing of EV charging stations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with EV chargers, including electrical faults, software errors, and connectivity problems.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, offering technical support, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and repair details. Update and manage service tickets in the company’s CRM system.
- Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local electrical codes, industry standards, and company policies. Stay updated on the latest regulations and technologies in the EV charging industry.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to customers on the proper use and maintenance of EV chargers. Offer support and education on troubleshooting basic issues.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering & or other relevant Engineering qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the related industry; candidate with strong electrical background and good learning attitude will be considered as well.
- Experienced in handling power devices / power electronics/communication modules electrical wirings
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail
- Ability to present ideas in a clean & user-friendly way
- Service and results oriented, self-driven, and a team player
- Able to communicate in both English and Chinese in order to work closely with Chinese-speaking associates
