As a Network and System Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our customers’ network and system infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring operational systems meet contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), performing routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and managing project documentation and reports. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Infrastructure Projects: Participate in the setup or upgrade of system and network infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
Operational Support: Provide support for operational systems to ensure they satisfy contractual Service Level Agreements.
Maintenance & Operations: Perform routine preventive maintenance and operational activities to ensure system health and performance.
Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain project documentation and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Requirements
Operating Systems: Experience with Windows Server OS, Unix/Linux OS, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Cloud Architecture: Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, including containerization (Kubernetes), is an advantage.
Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute effectively within a team environment.
Networking: Working knowledge of routers and switches is an advantage.
Security: Experience in hardening operating systems, systems, and network equipment.
IT Infrastructure Services: Proficiency with IT infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Database, Web, or Application Servers.
Preferred Qualifications
ITE, Diploma in Information Technology or higher, or a related field.
