Overview:
InSchool is a social enterprise that provides integrated student care, support, and growth for 7 to 12 year-old students with special educational needs (SEN). We provide our students with the necessary tailored assistance for their healthy personal growth through a meaningful approach, and with a focus on integrating them into mainstream society that is steered towards building an inclusive future.
We are seeking a driven, talented and dedicated teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with SEN students and will be committed to creating a supportive learning environment as we continue to make meaningful impact to society and build an inclusive future.
You will be involved in the end-to-end execution of your teaching work and experience how your effort is positively changing and impacting the lives of families and children with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Create clean, safe and conducive learning environment to promote students' development and learning
- Assist teachers in planning and designing classroom activities and preparing learning resources and materials
- Support teachers in teaching/coaching students in your charge to carry out instructions of the activities during lessons
- Build good relationships with students through care and encouragement
- Help teachers with data collection through daily observation of each student and track progress/monitor each student's individualised goals and objectives
- Collaborate with overall team to support students’ well-being and development
- Implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices to maintain classroom discipline
Requirements:
- Is strong in communicating, collaborating and building relationships with students, parents and team members
- Has good patience, empathy and desire to help students achieve their potential
- Takes the initiative, can be independent, and positively influences your team
- Is resourceful, result-driven, can problem-solve, flexible and adaptable to the changing educational environment
- Likes to learn and is able to learn on the job
- Related academic courses/modules to special educational needs is a bonus
- Experience in handling students with special educational needs is a bonus
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (in-person and on-site)
