Shipping Coordinator - Import / Export

Location: Bukit Batok

Working Days: 5 Days, Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 8.30am to 6pm

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3,000

Industry: Integrated Logistics Management (3PL)


Job Description:

  • Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin to ensure compliance with international regulations and customer requirements.
  • Handle customs permits and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
  • Manage customer inquiries and agent communications, resolving any issues or complaints related to shipping and logistics.
  • Track and monitor shipments with carriers and clients, addressing any delays or issues promptly to ensure timely delivery.
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of cargo, addressing any damage or discrepancies and coordinating with relevant parties for resolution.
  • Assist with billing, job referencing, and job closure processes, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Keep sales personnel informed about booking statuses and support various sales and operational activities as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall logistics operations.

Job Requirements:


• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding/Shipping.

• Proficient in MS Office applications and Portnet.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt.

• Preferably experienced in import & export documentation and shipping systems.
