We are looking for a skilled Senior Middleware Administrator with extensive experience in WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, and other middleware technologies to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:The Senior Middleware Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining middleware environments in both production and non-production environments. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in middleware technologies such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, and IBM MQ, with a proven ability to deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade various application servers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, install, configure, and upgrade WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat environments in production and non-production systems.
- Perform system administration tasks, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and MAS655 audit closure in collaboration with security teams.
- Implement and maintain high-availability clustered environments for application servers.
- Administer and configure IBM MQ systems, performing tasks such as patching, queue management, and monitoring channel status.
- Ensure application deployments are successful, deploying WAR, JAR, and EAR files via DMGR console, Jenkins, and UDeploy.
- Perform SSL certificate management, including generation and renewal of certificates (P12, .kdb, .sth files).
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis on middleware issues, such as server hang states, high CPU, server crashes, and other performance-related issues.
- Provide technical leadership during incident management and production system outages, working closely with cross-functional teams including UNIX and application development.
- Support AIX to Linux migrations and other platform migration activities.
- Develop and maintain scripts for middleware environment automation and maintenance.
- Follow ITIL processes, ensuring compliance with SLAs and managing the lifecycle of support incidents.
- Drive weekend patching activities, coordinating with UNIX teams, and providing post-patch sanity testing.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with WebLogic (11g, 12c, 14c), WebSphere (7.x, 8.x, 9.x), IBM MQ (9.x), JBoss (7.4), Tomcat, and Apache (2.x).
- Expertise in clustering, load balancing, and failover for middleware systems.
- Solid understanding of security implementation, including global security setup via LDAP, SSL/TLS configurations, and cert management.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, and project-specific in-built tools.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure preferred, Azure-104 certified).
- Proficiency with tools like ServiceNow, HP QC, Putty, WinSCP, Jenkins, and Oracle Toad.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation techniques for middleware management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in high-pressure production environments.
Qualifications:
- Masters in Computer Science or Computer Applications (MCA) or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience .
- Azure-104 certified is a plus.
