Get to Know Our Team

Grab’s lending business is dedicated to financial inclusion by creating responsible access to credit for consumers, drivers, and merchants. Our team combines business drive, industry expertise, and local market knowledge to tackle this exciting opportunity. The Country Credit & Collections team plays a key role in establishing and executing credit risk management policies and procedures. Working closely with the Country Head, Product, and Regional Credit Risk team, you will help improve technological and risk methodologies. This role offers a unique opportunity for rapid professional growth across all aspects of the credit risk framework, including data integrity, systems, reporting, and risk/capital methodologies.


The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Develop and implement the credit framework/Credit Policies for the country
  • Assist in development and implementation of data collection, data analytics and other strategies to analyze statistical efficiency and guide decision-making
  • Establish measurements to analyze credit model and policy performance, uncover insights and/or identify targeted areas for improvements
  • Work with business, data analytics and other functions to calibrate country credit policy and enable dynamic prioritization of credit business
  • Monitor credit performance metrics to identify issues, new and innovative credit processes or feature improvements and business growth opportunities
  • Assist in designing and implementation of reports and performance measurement dashboards
  • Manage collection team and continually update debt recovery processes, striving for continuous improvement in debt collections and credit control processes.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need


  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant work experience in credit policy or credit analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques. Proficiency in SQL for data query/manipulation and data visualization tools. Knowledge of programming languages like SAS, R, Python, SPSS, or Matlab for statistical analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in an ambiguous environment and pushing frontiers.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-driven and an independent learner willing to share knowledge with the team.
  • Detail-Oriented: Efficient time management and attention to detail, thriving in a dynamic working environment. Prior experience in working with regulators is a plus.
