Finance Supervisor

The candidate will be primarily responsible for supervising a Team of Finance Executive/ Senior Finance Executive (Payable) in all aspects of payable and related tasks in this process.


Key Responsibilities:

To assist the Finance Manager in the Company’s financial matters by undertaking a portfolio of accounting responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Supervise/provide work direction and review for AP executives
  • Review and ensure vendor invoices and employee claims are accurately process
  • Ensure vendors (includes intercompany) and Early Payment Discount invoices are process as per the timeline
  • GL Coding of sundry invoices and obtaining approvals
  • Review of creditor reconciliation and provide course of actions
  • Preparations of reports for Global reporting such as but not limited to Cashflow projections and Spending reports
  • Working with Finance team to ensure smooth month-end close and compliance
  • Ensure the team closely monitor vendor emails, escalate independently for the discrepancies
  • Communicate successfully with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth payment process
  • Drive process improvement within the team, and promote a positive mindset
  • Supports internal and external audits (including client audits)
  • Manage other ad hoc projects (Operations / Systems / Internal Controls)

Requirements:

  • Possess minimum Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and local statutory requirements
  • Hands-on, result oriented and able to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time appropriately
  • Extreme attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, result oriented and able to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with high transaction volume
  • Able to creatively plan and execute effectively while collaborating closely with the finance and media (operation) counterparts
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English
