SPD is seeking a Business Development Executive to carry out the business development and marketing activities of its Artisan and Lifestyle products. The incumbent will assume profit & loss responsibilities of the product lines and work closely with the sales & administrative and the product design teams to increase sales revenue and extend the product range. In addition, the incumbent will also proactively market SPD Employment Programmes and promote other SPD business services from the Contact Centre and Work Activity Centre.


A. JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, implement and operationalise the marketing plan for SPD Artisan Collab and Lifestyle products to increase sales revenue.

· Assume profit and loss responsibilities of the product lines.

· Work closely with the sales & administration and product design teams to curate new merchandise to expand the product range and build stable product lines for financial sustainability.

· Proactively engage in the cross-selling of business services from SPD Contact Centre.

· Secure higher-value subcontract work to increase the income of the Sheltered Workshop.

· Actively seek and strengthen collaboration with corporate partners to introduce/develop financially viable product lines and services, and to generate upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

· Market SPD’s employment programmes to promote inclusive hiring and increase employment opportunities for PwDs.

· Regularly update and refresh marketing collaterals to maintain relevance to the target audience.

· Provide periodic sales and activities updates to management via reports and presentations.

· Perform any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer from time to time.


JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Business Administration / Business Studies/ Marketing / Finance, or any related disciplines with at least 3 years of relevant business development or marketing experience.

· Possess good interpersonal and negotiating skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.

· An adaptable and self-motivated team player who is able to multi-task.

· Demonstrate interest and a good understanding and knowledge of the social service sector and its dynamics is preferred.
