Job Overview:
As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will coordinate with various teams, manage resources, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management:Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Coordinate and schedule the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Monitor and control the use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets the required quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
Address and rectify any issues related to quality or compliance promptly.
- Safety Management:Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Conduct safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring all workers are aware of and adhere to safety practices.
Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Project Coordination:Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Update project managers on progress, potential delays, and any issues affecting the project.
Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including reports and records.
- Resource Management:Manage and oversee the allocation and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively to minimize waste and optimize performance.
- Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction site and the project management team.
Facilitate clear and effective communication among site workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred or 3 years Expirenced in Relevant field if no education qualified.
- Experience:Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
Proficient in using construction-related software and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, etc.) may be required or preferred.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
Capable of lifting and carrying materials as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Work will primarily be on-site at construction locations.
- May require extended hours and occasional weekend work to meet project deadlines.
