Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to system performance, security, and connectivity.
- Manage system backups, patches, and updates for both Windows and Linux servers.
- Perform advanced configuration, including user profile management, group policies, and file system permissions.
- Ensure that systems comply with security policies and best practices.
- Perform periodic system health checks and optimizations to ensure high availability.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new systems or upgrades.
- Document system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting both Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy, and network services (NFS, FTP, SMB).
- Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automating routine tasks.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Acronis).
- Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
